One of the most popular professions in the World of Warcraft is that of the Alchemist. The job of an Alchemist includes making mixtures of various alchemical substances, which are usually liquid, through special herbs and some reagents. These alchemical substances include potions, flasks, elixirs, and oils. If you choose to be alchemist, you can use your mixtures to defend yourself against various types of magic and power from the enemies.

Alchemists create special recipes too that are needed for the battles and challenging obstacles, as stated in the Alchemy leveling guide. It has been said that alchemy is best combined with herbalism. These two powerful professions are excellent in selling potions to the Auction House and in saving plenty of gold. The materials that you can gain depend on how well you create your craft. One skill point is equivalent to each completed craft. Some of the common materials that you can use are Mageroyal, Kingsblood, Goldthorn, Peacebloom, Sungrass, Blindweed, Lichbloom, Stormvine, Heartblossom, and Hessonite. There are also materials that are specifically used for your epic alchemy trinket.

The first step to increase your level is to seek for any trainer in the major cities of the old Azeroth. You can ask a guard and learn how to become an Apprentice Alchemist. Then, you must search for vendors that supply alchemy vials. These vendors are often found within the alchemy trainer’s location. To get to levels 1 to 60, you will have to collect 59 Peacebloom and 59 Silverleaf. For levels 60 to 140, you would become an Alchemy Journeyman by acquiring various materials.

The Alchemy leveling guide suggests that you should become an Alchemy Expert until you reach level 205. While you are below level 195, you can create a manna potion or a lesser invisibility potion if you can’t find lots of Goldthorn. You can also make a nature protection potion as a substitute to Goldthorn when you have already reached levels 190 to 205. Meanwhile, you can become an Alchemy Artisan by creating an elixir of defense, superior healing potion, elixir of greater intellect, elixir of greater agility, super manna potion, and elixir of the sages.

There are many more abilities and skills you have to learn to reach the higher levels, based on this Alchemy leveling guide. In your further journey, you have to become an Alchemy Master, Alchemy Grand Master, and Alchemy Illustrious until you reach level 525. To learn the new skills and abilities, you have to create more complex potions and elixirs from various rare materials that you collect as you go your way.
